FAQs for Coaching with Diane & Alternate ADHD Coach Resources

If you are currently on my waitlist and awaiting my email to set up our Discovery call, then you may find some of the FAQ’s below helpful to figure out if I’m the Coach for you. If you find you can’t wait, I’ve also listed some alternate ADHD Coach resources so that you don’t have to, helping you to get the support you deserve asap…

Q: Do you meet and Coach in person?

A: Most of my work is done online via Zoom video calls, though I do work in person (when it’s possible for both of us and agreed in the Discovery Call).

Q: How much are your Coaching services?

A: Each session is $160.00 CAD plus tax ( for Canadians only)

Q: Do you have a professional designation that allows your fees to be put through health insurance?

A: Although I am a professionally accredited ADHD Life Coach and meditation guide, unfortunately, most insurance providers still do not cover the cost of Life Coaching, though there are Bursaries available for some Colleges and Universities and some exceptions with some employment insurance providers (so it’s worth asking your own provider and/or Uni/College/student services)

Q: How long does ADHD Coaching typically last?

A: Each case is different but I typically ask Adults for a 6 month commitment of 3 sessions per month (3 weeks on, one week off). However this totally depends on what goals you have for Coaching and what level of readiness you are at when we begin. In some cases once we are done the 6 months, clients are happy with where they are at, but not quite ready to fly solo, so I give them the option to stay with me but step down to 2 sessions per month, gradually tapering off, or they might even join one of my groups.

Q: What’s included in your Coaching services and are there any other extra costs?

A:  Coaching includes assessment tools such as the Wheel of Life, my Mind Body assessment and a Strengths assessment if needed, In-between session text check-ins by Signal App, all support materials (such as handouts, resources and any templates needed) for building new skills, habits or supporting mindset shifts. Membership to the Real ADHD Life online Community and a Portal for you to organize all of your contracts and your handouts.

Q: What types of ADHD challenges do you typically work on?

A: Again, each case is unique and customized to your needs and goals, but here are some of the life dimensions I cover and some of the typical needs within them.

Mind Body, Health, Nutrition Medication/Supplements, Sleep issues, Energy, Money/finance.

Psychological. Emotion & Mental obstacles, Limiting Beliefs, Fears, Inner limits & Mindset shifts.

Q: How long is your waitlist?

A: The wait time is anywhere from a minimum of  2 weeks up to 6-8 weeks.

Q: What do we do if we are in crisis but your Waitlist is too long for us?

A: I recognize that many of you contacting me are suffering, in crisis and need of help immediately. Hopefully, I can and will help, however there may be times when I can’t, so I’ve created a comprehensive Resources page so you can get some of the best information I know of into your hands asap!

Q: Do you recommend any other Coaches or resources if the Waitlist is too long?

A: I do have a handful of Coaches I trust, see list below, however as so much of the success of coaching is more about personal fit and trust than qualifications. I encourage you to do your homework and I recommend the following 2 websites where you can be sure to find plenty of ADHD Coaches to choose from.
